TrueBlue Vancouver on public spaces: clean parks, recreation and washrooms
TrueBlue Vancouver's public spaces section would keep pools, rinks, fields, gyms and community centres safe, clean and affordable, clear encampments and open-air drug use from parks, keep park tree canopy, and keep public washrooms separate for men and women.

The aim of Public Spaces and Services, in the party's words
TrueBlue Vancouver's approach to public spaces & services is organized around the following commitments.
The public spaces and services section of TrueBlue Vancouver's 2026 platform runs from page 29 to page 32. It lists policies on sports facilities, green space, public washrooms, sidewalks and bike paths, and zoning. The sidewalks and zoning policies repeat text from other sections, so this site lists them in the transit and housing sections.
The party would keep pools, rinks, fields, gyms and community centres safe, clean and affordable, with priority for core recreation and youth sports. It would enforce public space bylaws in parks, clear what it calls dangerous encampments, keep tree canopy and keep parks free of open-air drug use. It would keep separate male and female public washrooms.
TrueBlue presents these as city business. Parks, community centres, pools and rinks are controlled by the separately elected Park Board, which TrueBlue is not contesting, so its council candidate would need that board to act. Council funds shelter sites and street cleaning.
