CITY COUNCIL · PAGES 16 TO 18
The aim of Human Rights, in the party's words
TrueBlue Vancouver's approach to human rights is organized around the following commitments.
The human rights section of TrueBlue Vancouver's 2026 platform is on pages 16 to 18. Its policies cover physical accessibility, recent immigrants, sex work, and what the party titles "Trans Rights & Access to Public Services".
The party would improve practical accessibility for people with disabilities in sidewalks, public buildings, parks and transit connections. It would give existing residents priority for housing and public services, and push senior governments to reduce immigration when, in its words, population growth exceeds capacity. It would work with police and community groups against trafficking and exploitation, keep male and female sports separate, and protect sex-based privacy in washrooms, change rooms and shelters.
Council controls city sidewalks, buildings and services, the Park Board runs parks and recreation sites, and the School Board runs school facilities. The Vancouver Police Board directs the police. The party itself names senior governments as the ones to act on immigration.
