Reverse the ban on new supportive housing, and require public washrooms in it
What Vancouver Liberals has published about homelessness and the drug crisis, and what it has not.
HOMELESSNESS AND THE DRUG CRISIS
Vancouver Liberals on homelessness and drugs
The party's homelessness position mirrors a citywide ban it opposes: it would reverse the prohibition on new supportive housing construction.
It ties this to a second, more specific commitment: requiring 24-hour public washrooms and showers in every new supportive housing project.
2 PUBLISHED COMMITMENTS
What they say they will do
Reverse the ban on new supportive housing
On its first day, the party would reverse what it calls a ban on all new supportive housing construction in the city, to serve seniors, veterans and people with disabilities.

- Approving supportive housing is a City land use and permitting decision.
Require public washrooms and showers in new supportive housing
Every new supportive housing project in the city would be required to include 24-hour public washrooms and showers for people who are unhoused.
