THE SHAPE OF THIS SLATE
What Vancouver Liberals is asking for
Vancouver Liberals is running 19 candidates across 4 of the four races on the ballot: 1 for Mayor, 7 for City Council, 6 for Park Board, 5 for School Board.
Its City Council slate of 7 and Park Board slate of 6 and School Board slate of 5 is large enough to take a majority if every one of those candidates won.
Its mayoral candidate is Kareem Allam, at ballot number 56. The mayor chairs Council and holds one vote of eleven, so a mayor without councillors alongside them cannot pass anything alone.

How a candidate is linked to a party
Only the official City of Vancouver candidate list decides which party a candidate belongs to on this site. A party's own list of candidates is not enough on its own, and a candidate running with no party is never attached to one.
