ABC’s published platform commits to a 0% property tax increase in 2027, removing pay parking at beaches and community centres, and ending residential parking permit fees.

ABC has published a number here rather than a direction, which makes it one of the few commitments on this ballot that can be checked against a council vote later.
The two pages do not agree on the year. The platform page says "0% property tax increase in 2027 for buyers & renters". The party home page describes the same commitment as applying to 2026. We have recorded the platform page wording, checked on September 22, 2026.
A property tax freeze holds the rate, not the bill. A household’s bill can still move if the assessed value of its property changes relative to other properties in the city.

Does a tax freeze mean my bill will not go up?
No. A freeze holds the overall rate the city collects. Your own bill depends on how your property is assessed compared with everyone else’s. If your assessment rises faster than the city average, your bill can rise in a year when the rate is frozen.
Which year does the freeze apply to?
ABC’s platform page says 2027. Its home page describes the same commitment as 2026. Both were checked on September 22, 2026. We have not asked the party which is correct.
