Civilian oversight of school liaison officers, and safe, supported neighbourhoods
What Green Party of Vancouver has published about policing and public safety, and what it has not.
POLICING AND PUBLIC SAFETY
Green Party of Vancouver on public safety
The party's clearest public-safety position is at the School Board: it opposed reinstating police liaison officers in Vancouver schools and calls for civilian oversight, training and clear rules for the program the Board did approve.
Its City Council priorities describe safety in terms of harm reduction for addiction and mental health, without naming a police budget position or a specific bylaw.
