David Eby is the party’s leader and the premier. He called the election on September 22, 2026, two years ahead of schedule. He said the province needed a government able to meet the “existential moment” of the trade conflict with the United States.
The party describes its campaign as a plan to reduce dependence on the U.S. economy, lower costs and recruit more health workers. It said it would release the details during the campaign.
