The Vancouver School Board voted 5 to 4 to open talks with the Vancouver Police Department on a new School Liaison Officer programme. The Tyee named Faridkot as the author of the motion and as one of the five trustees who voted for it. Suzie Mah, Janet Fraser, Lois Chan-Pedley and Jennifer Reddy voted against.
