Muhammad Ahmad is the Bright Future Vancouver mayoral candidate, number 53 on the official ballot. He has not held elected office before. Elections BC registered Bright Future Vancouver as a civic party in January 2026, and the party launched its platform, called The Blueprint, in May 2026.
His campaign biography says he grew up in a working-class family in Lahore, Pakistan, and studied at Forman Christian College University there. In Canada he attended the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, where he was elected to the student union board. A campaign announcement published in May 2026 gives his age as 34.
The campaign describes him as a communications and public-affairs professional, chair of the strategic advisory board at Alpharay Consulting, and vice-president of the board of Dunbar Memorial Preschool. It lists volunteer work with Seeds of Peace, SOS Children’s Villages and AIESEC, including work with children in Brazil, and interfaith programs in Pakistan. CityHallWatch’s August 2026 party profile adds that he served as a picket captain during the BCGEU strike in 2025. He is married with children and lives in Vancouver.
