CBC News reported that a statement from Molnar, as ABC Vancouver's president, announced that Councillor Rebecca Bligh had been removed from the ABC caucus. The statement said she was not aligned with the party's shared priorities and team approach. CBC quoted Molnar: "Rather than working with caucus to find common ground and advance solutions, she has chosen to put her own views ahead of the collective work of the team." Bligh told reporters that the party no longer welcomed different opinions.

Vancouver's integrity commissioner found that six Park Board commissioners, all then members of ABC Vancouver, held closed-door meetings that decided how they would vote on issues including the Stanley Park bike lane, outside public view. The finding concerned six sitting commissioners. Molnar has never held a Park Board seat.

Stephen Molnar, then president of ABC Vancouver, said in a statement that the party disagreed with the commissioner's “narrow interpretation” of how elected officials could work together. His VoteMate profile still carries no candidate-written content, and he does not appear in the Vancouver Public Space Network Park Board survey or HUB Cycling's candidate answers. The Women Transforming Cities pledge results are an image with no text and were not checked. The Kerrisdale Community Centre listed him among 23 Park Board candidates confirmed for its September 29 forum; no recording or report of what he said there was found, so no statement from it is recorded. His Instagram account (@molnar.stephen) shows one post that could not be read without signing in, and his X account (@molnarsc) could not be read. Wikipedia still lists Molnar as ABC's president, while ABC's candidate page calls him a former president; an Elections BC filing names him as the party's authorized principal official in June 2025 without a title, so the end date of his presidency is still not established.
