Women Transforming Cities lists Hagglund among the candidates who signed its Our City Hall Pledge, which asks council candidates to back six community priorities including more non-market housing, longer library hours and more public washrooms.
In a January 2026 opinion piece, Hagglund asked the city for three things: a clear path for event organisers to run venues legally, enforcement that separates real safety risks from paperwork problems, and direct meetings between event organisers and enforcement staff.
OneCity's platform, announced in August 2026, would reverse the allowance for natural gas in new low rise homes, restore the zero emission heating requirement, start a public rooftop solar programme on city buildings, and install cooling and air filtration in about 500 high risk homes at a stated municipal cost of $4 million to $7.5 million.

The vice-president role at DMS Vancouver appears only in the byline Hagglund supplied to Daily Hive.
