Playback reported that Northwest Imaging & FX, with Tkach as vice-president and general manager, had launched an animation division in August 2006, hired 25 full-time animators and taken on the YTV children's series Jibber Jabber as its first project. The series' creator credited Tkach and his team with the look of the animation.

In TEAM's announcement of its expanded slate, Tkach said the aim is to bring common sense stewardship to the Park Board by protecting green space, fixing basics first and spending wisely.
Tkach marked himself supportive of all 17 policy statements in the guide, from building electrification to tree planting and safe bike networks. In his written answers he says he would protect the golf course and city parks and supports an independent Park Board. Asked about gas connections in new buildings, he said he did not have an answer yet and was more interested in solar power. On the City's Sustainability Office he said sustainability and zero waste are worth discussing with the Park Board. On AI data centres and on climate protection for unhoused people he said more research was needed, and on the Villages Plan he wrote: "Listen to the residents."
