PROVINCIAL TAXES AND THE BUDGET
Centre BC on taxes and budget
The party’s vision page says it would balance the budget over the long term through better investments and spending, while protecting health care, education and social supports.
After the 2026 budget, the party called it “a blueprint for bankruptcy” and pointed to its $13.3 billion deficit. In November 2025 it called for “a credible path to fiscal balance”.
In July 2026, Karin Kirkpatrick wrote that any yearly payment BC receives from a new oil pipeline should go by law into a separate BC Energy Future Fund.
