PROVINCIAL TAXES AND THE BUDGET
BC Green Party on taxes and budget
The BC Green Party calls its tax plan the Fair Share Act. It says the act would make people worth more than $100 million and large corporations pay more, and would raise more than $13 billion for Community Health Centres, free transit and child care. voche.me has not checked that figure.
In its 2024 platform the party published a revenue estimate and later corrected one line of it: on 2024-10-02 it said an excess corporate profits tax would raise $410 million a year, where the platform had said $4,100 million.
The party’s Our Plan page, read on 2026-09-30, says its full platform is still to come.
