HEALTH CARE AND HOSPITALS
Centre BC on health care
The party’s vision page lists “accessible, well-funded healthcare and mental health supports” among its goals.
In February 2026 the party said it would expand home care for seniors and cut paperwork for doctors so they can see more patients.
In a June 2026 opinion piece, Karin Kirkpatrick blamed the government for delaying long-term care projects and phase 2 of the Burnaby Hospital, and called for health planning based on the growth of the senior population.
In August 2026, Mike Bernier wrote that the Ministry of Health should show the effect on patients before it changes how a clinic is paid, and that money for complex care such as HIV care should be part of the base funding.
