OneBC: leader, plan and record for the 2026 BC election

OneBC is a party formed in June 2025 by MLAs Dallas Brodie and Tara Armstrong after they left the BC Conservatives. Dallas Brodie is its interim leader. The party says it would cut taxes, repeal DRIPA and remove SOGI 123 from schools.

WHO THEY ARE

About OneBC

Elections BC lists Dallas Brodie as the interim leader of OneBC. The legislature lists her as an Independent member for Vancouver-Quilchena, a seat she won for the BC Conservatives in 2024. The party says she is its candidate in Vancouver-Quilchena in 2026.

Brodie and Tara Armstrong launched the party in June 2025, after Brodie was removed from the Conservative caucus and Armstrong left it. Armstrong left OneBC in December 2025 and now sits as an Independent.

OneBC has no official party status in the legislature. On 2026-09-22 Brent Chapman, elected as a Conservative in Surrey South, announced he was joining OneBC. The clerk of the legislature said he did not tell the Speaker or the clerk before the legislature was dissolved, so the party standings did not change.

The party says it would cut every income tax rate by 25 percent, cut the provincial sales tax by 2 points, repeal DRIPA, remove SOGI 123 from classrooms, allow private health care alongside public care, and balance the budget within 4 years.

OneBC did not exist at the 2024 election, so it has no 2024 result. Its first annual financial report, for 2025, shows $177,568.50 in political contributions.
