  • Land acknowledgement bill defeated at first reading

    Dallas Brodie introduced the Land Acknowledgement Prohibition Act. She said it would make it unlawful for publicly funded bodies and their staff to make or require some land acknowledgements. The legislature voted it down at first reading, 5 to 85. Brodie and Tara Armstrong, then both OneBC members, voted Yea.
