ALL FOUR ISSUES
Pick an issue
Each issue below is a real responsibility of an office on the Burnaby ballot. Every party on this site is covered on the same four, so a party cannot look complete by choosing which subjects to appear on.
Housing
The BCA's 2026 platform promises to start at least 1,000 new rental homes through the Burnaby Housing Authority by 2030, to build more affordable homes with non-profits and co-ops, to use City land for family homes, and to zone town centres for shops and cafés at street level.
Budget
The BCA's platform promises to keep the City free of debt and to keep property taxes low and predictable, with lower fees for seniors and credits for families in need.
Governance
The BCA's platform has one promise about how City Hall works: simpler permits and business licences, with published service standards.
Schools
The BCA's platform asks the Ministry of Education to build schools for the number of students expected, names five school projects, and promises to ask for stable funding, keep the district's SOGI policy, set rules for artificial intelligence (AI) in schools and grow the school meals program.
