A one-stop City Hall run by caseworkers, a councillor on duty every day, and three new global partner cities
The second pillar promises a one-stop City Hall service system managed by caseworkers and a councillor duty-shift roster so residents always know whom to call. The first pillar promises three new global partner cities to make Richmond an international business hub. The fourth pillar promises drug prevention and recovery programs.
HOW THE CITY IS GOVERNED
Common Sense on governance
The organization's Core Values page gives three principles: doing what works over political arguments, direct answers over red tape, and taking action over making excuses. Its example of red tape is a resident passed through four departments for a building permit, and its answer is one point of contact at City Hall and councillors available face to face.
Thomas Leung's statement to the City says he proposed regular "on-duty" councillor hours. The fourth pillar promises proactive drug prevention and recovery programs. At the council debate of October 8, 2026, Richmond News reported, Leung framed drug use as a health issue and said people with an addiction "need help to stop taking drugs".
Richmond News reported in February 2024 that Chiu spoke at a press conference against a supervised consumption site at Richmond Hospital, and that its Core Values page says the organization believes in "no grandstanding". Drug treatment and health care are provincial responsibilities, and the platform does not say which programs the City would run itself.
