About Adrian Dix

Adrian Dix is the BC NDP candidate in Vancouver-Renfrew on Elections BC's list for the general election of October 24, 2026. He won the district in 2024 with 10,983 votes, 63.22% of the valid vote, according to the Elections BC statement of votes.

The legislature record lists his election years as 2005, 2009, 2013, 2017, 2020 and 2024. The Tyee reported in April 2011 that he won the BC NDP leadership as the MLA for Vancouver-Kingsway. The government named him Minister of Health on July 18, 2017. The legislature record shows him as Minister of Energy and Climate Solutions from November 18, 2024.

In the legislature in 2026 he answered questions on LNG projects, a proposed oil pipeline, BC Hydro rates and the natural gas royalty system. In September 2026 he spoke to reporters about errors by his ministry's staff in the natural gas revenue forecast.
