A name registered before another slate could take it
The North Delta Reporter reported that four sitting councillors announced a slate named Delta First on February 12, 2026, and then learned that another group had applied to register that name with Elections BC days before them. Those councillors became One Delta.
Launch with a candidate for mayor and three for Council
Delta First announced Melissa Granum for mayor and Leah Bach, Tammy Hansen and Jat Puri for Council. The Reporter said Granum was the first officially announced candidate for mayor in the election.
Alex Fischer joins, Leah Bach steps back
Alex Fischer, founder of Delta Voices for Responsible Development, joined the slate as its third council candidate. Granum told the Reporter that Bach had decided to step back for this election.
Platform launch
Delta First released its platform in four parts. The North Delta Reporter reported it the same day. The First 90 Days plan had been released in June, by the Reporter's account.
2026 election: all four candidates elected
The City's official results give Granum 16,197 votes for mayor, against 9,460 for Dylan Kruger and 7,782 for George V. Harvie. Hansen (14,413), Fischer (12,947) and Puri (11,756) were elected to Council. The Chief Election Officer declared the official results on October 21, 2026.
