About Maryama Farah
Maryama Farah appears on the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates for Councillor in Ward 5 York South-Weston. A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 18, 2026 and no campaign website.
The Local’s candidate tracker, updated September 21, 2026, says little information is available online about her and that her platform is not available. Things Toronto’s profile, checked September 15, 2026, found no policy positions in the public sources it reviewed. Her Know Your Vote T.O. page shows all 6 questions as awaiting submission. The Local reports a search result for a person of the same name and says it could not confirm that this is the candidate. voche.me did not find a source that ties any other record to this candidate, so none is used.

What voche.me has checked
Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City’s list of certified candidates, The Local’s Ward 5 candidate page, the Things Toronto candidate profile, her Know Your Vote T.O. page and The Green Line’s Ward 5 guide. Name, office and nomination date are as the City prints them.
Gaps. The City’s list shows no campaign website for her. Web searches for the name found no website, social media account or news report that belongs to her. A person with the same name appears in other search results, and no source links that person to this campaign, so nothing about that person is used. Empty sections record that nothing was verified. They carry no judgment on what she may have said or done. The questionnaire has not been sent.
