The Local · Toronto Mayoral Candidates 2026 (updated as of September 21, 2026)01 / Introduction
About Imad Abdulkadir
Imad Abdulkadir appears on the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates for Mayor. A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 14, 2026 and gives no campaign website.
The Local's candidate page, updated as of September 21, 2026, says Imad Abdulkadir describes themselves as a multidisciplinary artist who makes musical mashups under the alias Mad.I.M. It also says they are involved with Campaign for Community (C4C), an organization founded at the University of Toronto that “seeks to bring together and build community,” and that they are interested in turning it into a non-profit organization. These are the candidate's own descriptions as The Local reports them, and voche.me did not confirm them with another source.

What voche.me has checked
Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto's list of certified candidates and The Local's candidate page for the 2026 mayoral race. Name, office and nomination date are as the City prints them. The biography and the three priorities come only from The Local's summary of the candidate's campaign.
Gaps. The City's list shows no campaign website, and no campaign statement written by the candidate was found. The Local's description of the platform is a summary by the outlet and may not carry the candidate's own wording. The C4C organization and the alias Mad.I.M were not found on a page of their own. No public role is on the profile. The questionnaire has not been sent.
