The City Clerk’s results list an Adam Golding with 481 votes in the 2022 City Council race for Ward 11 University-Rosedale and with 84 votes in the March 3, 2025 TDSB Ward 11 (Don Valley West) by-election, and his own statements tie him to both. His Know Your Vote T.O. answers put smaller classes, arts and coding programs and public control of public schools first.

About Adam Golding

Adam Golding appears on the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates for Toronto District School Board in Ward 7. A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as August 17, 2026 and a campaign website, adamgolding.ca, which opens a links page titled “VOTE ADAMGOLDING.CA” that calls him a “University-Rosedale Politician, Teacher, Composer & Philosopher”.

The City Clerk’s declaration of results for October 24, 2022 lists Adam Golding seventh of 14 candidates for City Councillor in Ward 11 University-Rosedale, with 481 votes. The 14 declared totals add up to 24,351 votes, so his share was 2.0 percent, calculated by voche.me from those figures. Dianne Saxe was elected with 8,614 votes. His own written answers to a trustee questionnaire say he was “the median candidate in the 14-way race for City Ward 11, in my first run”, and a September 2026 post on his Substack calls Saxe “my old opponent”. Those statements tie the 2022 entry to him.

The City Clerk’s declaration of results for the March 3, 2025 TDSB Ward 11 (Don Valley West) by-election lists an Adam Golding with 84 votes among 10 candidates. Stacey Cline was elected with 2,360 votes. The 10 declared totals add up to 4,591 votes, so his share was 1.8 percent, calculated by voche.me from those figures. His own written answers, addressed to Don Valley West and signed with his name, tie that entry to him. That by-election was held in the old Ward 11 and is not treated as a result for the new Ward 7.

His links page says he is centre director at Ultimate Coders High Park and a former two-term president of the Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence Students’ Association at the University of Toronto. His questionnaire answers say he has taught for 25 years for 15 organizations, including piano and coding. Those are his own statements and voche.me did not check them with the organizations named.

TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 7 covers City wards 11, 12 and 13, which the candidates’ own sites call University-Rosedale, Toronto-St. Paul’s and Toronto Centre. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in October 2026.

His public posts are on his Substack and his X account, both his own opinion. The links page item labelled as his TDSB election platform opens a September 9, 2026 Substack post about a mayoral debate on antisemitism. In it he says he will not vote for Olivia Chow and supports Chris Alexander for mayor. voche.me found no separate list of his trustee platform on the pages it opened, and his Know Your Vote T.O. answers refer readers to Substack for it.

What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, the links page at adamgolding.ca, his September 9, 2026 Substack post, his written answers to a Don Valley West trustee questionnaire, his Know Your Vote T.O. answers, his public X page, the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results, the City Clerk’s declaration of results for the 2025 by-election and the TDSB’s trustee wards page. He holds no public office on any record voche.me opened. Both past election results come from the City Clerk’s documents, and each is tied to him by his own statements, quoted in the biography.

Gaps. His Substack and X posts are his own opinion and voche.me read only the posts named above. The September 9 post contains insults aimed at named public figures, and voche.me does not repeat or check them. His X page was read only as far as its bio and first posts. A Varsity article about the 2022 University-Rosedale candidates and a Canada Info profile came up in a search; the Varsity page refused the request (HTTP 403) and the Canada Info page did not load, so neither is used. His Facebook page returned only the account name. His Know Your Vote T.O. page lists a phone number, which is not copied here. No board minutes apply because he holds no board role. The questionnaire has not been sent.
