列治文華人宣布成立新政黨 能發揮多少作用？
Sing Tao Daily (Canada) ·
Sing Tao Daily reported that Wei Ping Chen (陳衛平), Yang Nan, Shi Jun and Chen Tinggang announced CanWest Party on the evening of Sunday 29 March. They named a weak economy, drugs, poor public safety, rising living costs and longer waits for medical care as their reasons. Chen said he would run for mayor of Richmond, with Yang and Shi running for council. Two community commentators quoted in the report said a new party needs full policy plans and regular work at council meetings before voters will listen to it.
