Tina Lee to take second shot at Penticton-Summerland for BC NDP
Reports her return as the BC NDP candidate after Amelia Boultbee announced she would not run, the 2024 result, and the other declared candidates.
Sources checked October 3, 2026. Official records establish decisions; campaign material establishes stated positions; reporting adds investigation and context. None alone establishes every claim.
The campaign and the Penticton Herald's 2024 report call her a member of the Okanagan College Board of Governors. The college's board records list a Tina Lee as a member from July 31, 2021 and in attendance on June 18, 2024. The September 24, 2024 minutes and the college's members page of October 3, 2026 do not list her, and voche.me did not find her end date. The campaign page says she "helped deliver real action on housing" through 101 units of student housing "announced this spring". The college's news item of September 23, 2026 reports the opening of a 101-bed building on the Penticton campus and names neither her nor the board. voche.me did not find the spring announcement or any record of her part in it, so it states no result from that claim. Her work with the City of Penticton, her work for MP Richard Cannings and her work in other countries come only from the BC NDP's 2024 release, the campaign page and her statements to the Penticton Herald, and none was checked against City, federal or other records. No 2026 release naming her was found on the BC NDP releases page on this date. The party's team page loads its candidate names through a script, so a direct read shows none. Her Facebook, Instagram and X accounts, which the campaign page links, showed only an account header, so no posts could be read. Castanet pages on her 2024 and 2026 candidacy answered with an access error. No all-candidates meeting, endorsement or campaign finance record for 2026 was found. The Elections BC list shows nominations to 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so the candidate list for the district may still change.

What voche.me has checked
Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-03: the Elections BC candidate list, key dates page and 2024 statement of votes; her campaign page; the BC NDP platform page, releases page and a July 2024 release; Okanagan College's Board of Governors page, two agenda packages (March and May 2022), the minutes of June 18 and September 24, 2024 and a September 23, 2026 news item; and reports by Penticton Western News, the Penticton Herald and My South Okanagan Now.
The name search was limited: the search tool reached its usage limit, so voche.me read news sites directly and one public search results page that answered once. Castanet pages answered with an access error and none of their content is used. Her Facebook, Instagram and X accounts showed only an account header, and nothing from them is used. An empty section records what voche.me did not find on this date.
