No campaign website, social media account, news report, interview or public statement from this candidate was found on 2026-10-02, so his background, his positions on every scored issue and his reasons for running are unknown. The address stephendooley.bcndp.ca, the pattern the party uses for its candidates' pages, did not load: it sends the reader back to the same address in a loop, and so did stevedooley.bcndp.ca. The BC NDP's online candidate list held 52 names on 2026-10-02 and did not include Surrey-Cloverdale, and no party release found names him. The party's Surrey-Cloverdale page names no candidate and links only to the party's main social media accounts. BC Ballot lists him as filed with Elections BC and gives no other detail. VoteMate's 2026 page for the district did not list him on this date. Searches for the name return a Stephen Dooley who was named executive director of Simon Fraser University's Surrey campus in 2013. No page voche.me read ties that person to this candidacy, so nothing about him is used. voche.me found no Dooley in the provincial results for 2024, 2020 or 2017, or in Elections Canada's candidate table for the 2021 federal election. voche.me did not search the 2025 federal results or Surrey's civic election results. No portrait was found that the candidate or the party published. The organizers of the October 15 forum have not published who will attend. Campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. Nominations close October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent.
