About Sacha Peter

Elections BC lists Sacha Peter as the Conservative Party of BC candidate in Richmond Centre. He was not a candidate in the 2024 election. In 2024 the district was won by Hon Chan of the Conservative Party with 8,426 votes (51.99 percent), according to the Elections BC statement of votes. The legislature now lists Hon Chan as an Independent.

The BC Gazette lists a Sacha Peter among the Cultus Lake Park commissioners elected for the City of Chilliwack in 2008, and again in 2011. In a July 2011 letter to the Chilliwack Progress he signed as chairman of the Cultus Lake Park Board. A 2015 report he wrote, now posted on his campaign site, also says he chaired that board.

Elections BC financing reports name Sacha Peter as the financial agent of the Conservative Party of BC for the by-elections held on September 10, 2022, and an auditors' report names him as the party's financial agent for the June 2023 Langford-Juan de Fuca by-election. His campaign says he helped build the party's treasury and finance work from 2022 to 2024.

The party and his campaign say he is a Chartered Professional Accountant who works in corporate tax, that he holds a science degree in physics from the University of British Columbia, and that he has written about finance and politics at Divestor.com since 2009. voche.me has not checked these claims with the accounting regulator or the university.

His campaign website, read on 2026-09-30, says it is a draft preview for the campaign team, and labels its issues section as waiting for party review. Its positions are not listed here until the campaign publishes them; the commitment below comes from his party candidate page. voche.me has not contacted the campaign.

His campaign website calls itself a draft preview for the campaign team and labels its issues section as waiting for party review, so the commitments taken from it may change. The party's candidate page labels him "Interim Conservative Party Leader"; no other source supports that label, so voche.me does not repeat it. His time as chair of the Cultus Lake Park Board rests on his own signed letter and his own report; the park's minutes from 2008 to 2014 were not found online. The park deficits and the 2010 surplus come from his campaign and were not checked against the park's audited statements. His accounting designation, his UBC degree, his work at Divestor.com, his roles on the School District 33 audit committee, the Chilliwack Transportation Committee, the Coast Capital Savings task force and the Richmond Family and Youth Justice Committee, and his advice to Alice Wong's office are stated by the campaign and were not checked with those bodies. Divestor.com returned HTTP 403 to direct reads. His X account shows a profile with 9 posts, and the posts cannot be read without signing in. No news report about his 2026 candidacy, no all-candidates meeting in the district, no endorsement and no campaign finance filing for 2026 were found on this date. The campaign website calls itself a draft preview for the campaign team and marks its issue positions as pending party review, so voche.me does not list those positions as his commitments until the campaign publishes them.

What voche.me has checked

His campaign website calls itself a draft preview, so its commitments may change. No news report about his 2026 candidacy was found on this date. An empty section records what voche.me did not find on this date.
