No campaign website, party candidate page, party release or news report naming Pepper Saltman as a candidate was found on 2026-10-03. The search box on the Communist Party of BC's site returned no result for his name, and the address cpcbc.ca/candidates/ returned HTTP 404. The party's home page does not name him, and no title in its list of posts dated 2026 does, and the party's Our Platform page names no candidate. VoteMate's page for Nanaimo-Lantzville lists George Anderson and Kelsey Pringle and does not list him. The Nanaimo News Bulletin's search box for his name returned only an unrelated 2018 item about other people with the surname Saltman. A People's Voice article dated 2025-08-06, about a protest at the Nanoose Bay naval test range, carries the author name Pepper Saltman. The page gives no author biography and does not say the writer is the candidate, so voche.me has not treated the two as one person and uses nothing from it. A Facebook address under the same name returned a generic page with no content tied to this candidacy, and a web page under the same name about a 2013 web comic character booklet has no tie to it either, so nothing from them is used. Instagram and X were not searched directly because they ask for a sign-in. His biography, work, past roles, own commitments, all-candidates meetings in the district, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. No published photo tied to the campaign was found, so the page has no portrait. The party's Our Platform page does not say which election it was written for, and its opening paragraph describes a snap election called by Premier David Eby, so voche.me lists its commitments as party text only. The questionnaire has not been sent.

What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on 2026-10-03: the Elections BC candidate list, Elections BC's election dates page, the 2024 statement of votes, the Communist Party of BC's home page, Our Platform page and the search box on its site, VoteMate's page for Nanaimo-Lantzville, the legislature's member lists, the Nanaimo News Bulletin's search box, a public Facebook address under his name, and web searches for his name.

None of these sources holds a statement by Pepper Saltman. The party's platform is listed as party text. A search of Bluesky and searches for a campaign website returned nothing tied to him, and Instagram and X were not searched directly because they ask for a sign-in. An empty section records what voche.me did not find on this date.
