Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026, so more candidates may be added. BC Ballot, a site that lists candidates by district, shows David Eby of the BC NDP and Alex McMillan of the Conservative Party as announced by their parties.

David Eby won the district in 2024 with 12,538 votes (56.77 percent), according to Elections BC’s statement of votes. Paul Ratchford of the Conservative Party received 7,622 votes (34.51 percent) and Devyani Singh of the BC Green Party received 1,925 (8.72 percent). A CentreBC release of 2026-06-20 lists him as secretary of the party’s executive council. It says he drafted the constitution and bylaws that members adopted at the party’s first annual general meeting that day. The party’s page about him says he recently retired as principal of a Vancouver communications and government relations firm. These are the party’s statements. voche.me has not checked them with the federal government, the university or the body that issues pilot licences.

The party page says he launched Governance for Our Kids Climate in 2021. That group’s own site says it began in British Columbia in September 2021 and gives workshops that help boards include climate change in how they govern. No campaign website of his own, no social media account tied to this candidacy, and no interview or statement from him as a candidate were found on 2026-09-30. His positions come from one sentence on the party’s page, so his views on housing, the cost of living, education, climate, Indigenous reconciliation, transportation and governance are unknown. The party has published no 2026 election platform: its policy page says its Policy Committee is still writing its first policy areas. The party’s statements about his career are unchecked: which Minister of Justice he worked for and in which years, his degree from Royal Roads University, his pilot’s licence, his board roles since 1996, his role at Rainbow Refugee and the campaigns he managed. The site of his firm, publicaffair.ca, did not answer on 2026-09-30. The Vantage Point page that lists him as vice chair was read from an Internet Archive copy dated 2026-03-13, and the live page returned HTTP 404, so his current role there is unknown. The sources give September 2021 as the start of Governance for Our Kids Climate and give no day, so it is listed under experience and no dated action is entered for it. The party announced his candidacy in a post on X on 2026-09-26, which voche.me knows only through the Western Standard, because X could not be read without signing in. A LinkedIn profile under the same name returned HTTP 999, and no page ties it to this candidacy. A 2014 CBC News report describes a Michael Davis who was a past president of Vancouver’s Non-Partisan Association and joined the Vision Vancouver campaign that year. No page voche.me read ties that person to this candidacy, so the report is left out. All-candidates meetings in the district, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. Nominations close October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent.
