About Linda Li

Elections BC lists Linda Li as the BC NDP candidate for MLA in Richmond-Bridgeport, in the copy of its candidate list stamped October 1, 2026 11:00:06 PM. The only other accepted candidate in the district on that copy is Teresa Wat, for the Conservative Party. Nominations close at 1 p.m. on October 3, 2026.

In 2024 she ran in Richmond-Bridgeport for the BC NDP and received 5,921 votes, 34.77 percent of the valid vote, according to the Elections BC statement of votes. It says she has been active in Richmond since 1996, has worked with the Richmond Chinese Community Society and the Richmond Hospital Foundation, and is the managing broker at Metrohome Realty Ltd. In a 2024 Richmond News questionnaire her campaign listed her as a past president of the Richmond Chinese Community Society and of the Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club. The City of Richmond's 2022 results give Linda Li 10,540 votes, the eighth-highest total of the 15 school trustee candidates. voche.me found no page on 2026-10-02 in which Li or the BC NDP describes that 2022 run.

voche.me found no name in Chinese characters for her on a page she or the party published, and has not contacted the campaign.

voche.me found no 2026 campaign website, 2026 statement, 2026 interview or 2026 social media post by Li on 2026-10-02, so her 2026 positions on every scored issue are unknown. The address lindali.bcndp.ca, the pattern the party uses for candidate pages, sends the reader back to itself in a loop and shows no page. The BC NDP's online candidate list held 52 names on 2026-10-02 and did not include Richmond-Bridgeport, and the party's Richmond-Bridgeport page does not name her. The Richmond News reports that the party announced her candidacy; voche.me did not find that announcement. The Instagram account lindali4rmd shows only a login page to a direct read, so nothing from it is used. The Business in Vancouver riding brief of October 2024 refused automated reads. Her work as a managing broker, her roles with the Richmond Chinese Community Society, the Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club and the Richmond Hospital Foundation, and a 2022 statement that she was appointed to a City of Richmond child care advisory committee are her own or the party's claims, and voche.me has not checked them with those bodies; the City's committee page does not list members. The link between the 2022 school board candidate and this candidate rests on The Breaker's report. The Elections BC finding against the Richmond Community Coalition Association was not opened. The portrait is a 2024 party headshot on the BC NDP's server; no 2026 page that displays it was found. No name in Chinese characters was found on her own or party pages. No all-candidates meeting for Richmond-Bridgeport was found on 2026-10-02. Campaign finances and endorsements were not reviewed. Nominations close October 3, 2026. The questionnaire has not been sent.
