Elections BC's candidate list, stamped October 3, 2026 4:00:07 PM, shows four accepted nominations in Salmon Arm-Shuswap: Gloria Morgan (BC NDP), Barbara Presch (OneBC), Jed Wiebe (BC Green Party) and David L Williams (Conservative Party). The Salmon Arm Observer reported on October 3, 2026 that these four were the final ballot at the 1 p.m. deadline, and that Wiebe and Williams both ran for their parties in 2024, when Williams was elected.
In 2024 Elections BC's statement of votes gives Wiebe 2,250 votes (7.08 percent of 31,788 valid votes) in Salmon Arm-Shuswap, fourth of five candidates. David L. Williams of the Conservative Party won with 16,566 (52.11 percent). Sylvia Lindgren of the BC NDP received 9,677 (30.44 percent), Greg McCune (Independent) 2,922 (9.19 percent) and Sherry Roy (Independent) 373 (1.17 percent).
The BC Green Party's candidate page says he is a lifelong Shuswap resident and organic farmer who co-owns and operates Elderberry Grove, an organic elderberry farm and small-scale processing business in Salmon Arm.
