The provincial candidates so far in Delta
Lists the candidates announced in Delta North and Delta South, reports that he ran in 2024 and federally in 2025, and quotes his statement from the party release.
Sources checked October 1, 2026. Official records establish decisions; campaign material establishes stated positions; reporting adds investigation and context. None alone establishes every claim.
The BC NDP release of September 26, 2026 that announced him was not found on the party's releases page, so his 2026 statement is taken from the Delta Optimist, which quotes it. The party's campaign page links only the party's own social media accounts, and searches found no account of his own, so no post is used. His work as a TransLink bus driver and his roles in cycling and the South Delta Basketball Association are stated by the party and by his own account in interviews; voche.me has not checked them with TransLink or those groups. His 2025 federal campaign profile says he helped build the Holly Park Pump Track in Ladner; no page voche.me read ties that work to him in a way it could check, so it is left out. The Delta Optimist and the North Delta Reporter report that Ian Paton is running for the BC Conservatives and that Jim McMurtry is running for OneBC in Delta South. On the Elections BC list stamped October 1, 2026 01:00:07 PM, McCormick was the only accepted candidate in the district, and nominations close October 3. No 2026 all-candidates meeting in Delta South was found on this date. His plans for schools, reconciliation, the provincial budget and governance, his campaign finances and his endorsements were not found. The questionnaire has not been sent.
