Conservatives name him in the Premier’s district
Campaign report that quotes the party's post naming him as its Vancouver-Point Grey candidate, describes his past roles and gives the district's 2024 result.
Sources checked October 1, 2026. Official records establish decisions; campaign material establishes stated positions; reporting adds investigation and context. None alone establishes every claim.
No campaign website of his own was found on 2026-10-01. The party's candidate page links only to the party's own social media accounts. alexmcmillan.com shows a holding page with no campaign content, and no page read ties it to this candidacy, so it is not used. alexmcmillan.ca, votealexmcmillan.ca, votemcmillan.ca and alexmcmillanbc.ca did not answer. A LinkedIn profile under his name, with the firm name McMillan Solutions, appeared in search results; LinkedIn did not show it without signing in, so nothing from it is used. No X, Facebook or Instagram account of his own was found. The party's candidate page labels him "Interim Conservative Party Leader". The party's own team page lists him only as the Vancouver-Point Grey candidate, and its releases name Lorne Doerkson as leader, so voche.me does not repeat that label. His interim CEO role at the BC Chamber of Commerce is confirmed by the Chamber's own statements. His work as a political staff member and civil servant, at a public relations firm and for a forestry company, and the start of his consulting practice in 2020, are stated by the party; voche.me has not checked them. The Western Standard's mention of a Mining Association of BC role was not confirmed with the association. The party's platform page says the platform is coming soon and does not name him. No party news release on 2026-10-01 names him. All-candidates meetings in Vancouver-Point Grey, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. Nominations close October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent.
