Erica Beard was re-elected to the Delta Board of Education on October 17, 2026. The City of Delta's official count gives her 13,052 votes, second of the 18 candidates for seven seats, and the Chief Election Officer declared her elected on October 21, 2026. The North Delta Reporter reported that this was 7.98 per cent of the ballots cast for trustee and that she and Joe Muego, both running with Achieving for Delta, each won another term, while the slate's third sitting trustee, Nimmi Daula, did not.
The Reporter reported on October 21, 2018 that she was one of three Achieving for Delta candidates elected to the Board that year, and the Delta Optimist reported that she was new to the Board then. The District's post of November 9, 2022 says she was sworn in as a returning trustee and elected vice-chair for the year ahead, and its post of November 8, 2023 says Joe Muego took the role after her. The Optimist reported in October 2022 that she ran again with Achieving for Delta, and in June 2026 that she was one of three sitting trustees on the slate's 2026 team. The District's trustee page lists her as liaison trustee for Seaquam Secondary and five elementary schools.
By her own account, in the Reporter's questionnaire and on the Achieving for Delta team page, she has lived in Delta all her life, graduated from Delta schools, has two children in the district, and is a registered nurse whose work has covered clinical practice, education, leadership, operations and patient safety; in the questionnaire she gave her occupation as oncology program manager leading a national team of pharmacy experts. The District's post of November 2022 describes her as a registered nurse. voche.me has not checked her nursing registration or her employer.
In the Reporter's questionnaire she named three priorities: supporting students to build strong reading, writing and math skills; protecting classroom supports while planning responsibly for the future; and making Board decisions clear and accountable. She wrote that when budgets are tight she will keep asking how each decision affects students and the people who support them, and will support longer-term financial planning and clear public discussion of the choices. In the slate's platform release of September 21, 2026, the Reporter reported, she said learning gaps must be found early. The Achieving for Delta school trustee platform carries the slate's promises, listed on this page as the organization's.
