The City's list of elected officials for 2022 to 2026 names Glen Gower as Councillor for Ward 6, and CBC News reported that Gower is not seeking re-election, so no sitting member is running in this ward. CBC News reported that her husband, Shad Qadri, represented the ward from 2006 until 2018.
CBC News describes her as chair of the Stittsville Food Bank. The Governor General of Canada's site lists a Sovereign's Medal for Volunteers awarded to Theresa Qadri of Stittsville on June 30, 2016, for her work as chair of the Stittsville Food Bank. The Femmes remarquables Ottawa Distinguished Women profile says she was the first female president of the Rotary Club of Stittsville, vice-chair of the Stittsville Village Association and treasurer of the Goulbourn Historical Society, and received the Communitas Platinum Leadership Award in 2015. Her campaign website gives these roles and says she led the effort to establish the W.J. Bell Rotary Peace Park. In the CBC News questionnaire she gives 15 years as chair of the food bank, and has lived in Ward 6 for 16 years.
Stittsville Central reported on March 25, 2018 that she won the Ontario Liberal nomination for Carleton and described her as a real estate agent and co-owner of a Stittsville Main Street store. CBC News reported that in the June 7, 2018 provincial election Progressive Conservative Goldie Ghamari won with 51.3 percent and that Qadri, the Liberal candidate, had 19.4 percent. In the CTV News questionnaire she says she led and coordinated three municipal councillor campaigns for Shad Qadri, and lists work as a human resources manager, customer service manager and trainer at a large publicly traded corporation, and as a franchisee and multi-location small business owner. Her campaign website sets out five pillars: community first, balanced growth and complete communities, easier transportation, safe, accessible and connected neighbourhoods, and affordability and opportunity. They include coffee chats, weekly plain-language updates, a Ward 6 planning dashboard, a developer transparency charter, shuttles that run when residents ask for them and a review of eight key roads. At the debate on September 17, 2026, CBC News reported that she held up what she called Theresa's playbook and said she would create a dashboard on her website, and Stittsville Central reported that she named the Robert Grant Avenue extension as her preferred priority.
