The City's list of elected officials for 2022 to 2026 names Glen Gower as Councillor for Ward 6, and CBC News reported that Gower is not seeking re-election, so no sitting member is running in this ward. He has not held a political office, and says so in the CTV News questionnaire.
CBC News says he founded the Kichesippi Beer Company, and its September 18, 2026 report calls him the former owner. The Ottawa Business Journal reported on July 2, 2019 that he was the owner of Kichesippi Beer Co., which started production nine years earlier. Stittsville Central reported on November 10, 2015 that he was one of 14 people the Mayor inducted into the Order of Ottawa that year, and described him as president and co-owner of Kichesippi Beer Co. and Harvey and Vern's. In the CTV News questionnaire he describes himself as a financial advisor and mortgage broker, and as owner and founder of Kichesippi Beer Company, Harvey and Vern's Olde Fashioned Soda and The Commons Ottawa, and gives his age as 54. His campaign website says he has lived in Stittsville for more than 24 years. In the CBC News questionnaire he says he holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Saint Mary's University and served on the board of the Bells Corners Business Improvement Area. His campaign website lists community service that includes serving as a street representative with the Granite Ridge Community Association, volunteering with the Stittsville RAMS Hockey Association and Bell Warriors Football, helping start the Rotary Club of Ottawa-Stittsville, and serving on the boards of Music and Beyond and the Amazing People Gala. His campaign website names three priorities: an affordable Stittsville, a safer Stittsville and better services for Stittsville. At the debate on September 17, 2026, Stittsville Central reported that he argued Carp Road should be deprioritized until Robert Grant Avenue is extended north to Highway 417, and that he suggested using the recreation facilities that exist before building new ones. In the CBC News questionnaire he says a tax increase above inflation in 2027 would be irresponsible, that the police budget is appropriate, and he gives 3 on a scale where 5 is strongly agree to the statement that adding more homes to built-up areas will be important for housing in the ward.
