Reporting
Western Standard · Alex Zoltan
Party introduces him in North Vancouver-Lonsdale
Campaign report that names him as one of five Conservative candidates, none of them a sitting MLA, whom the party introduced over one afternoon. The report carries no quote from him.
Sources checked September 30, 2026. Official records establish decisions; campaign material establishes stated positions; reporting adds investigation and context. None alone establishes every claim.
No campaign website with its own content was found on 2026-09-30: trevorwithers.com forwards to the party's candidate page, and four other likely addresses did not answer. His account on X showed its profile line and six newest posts to a direct request without signing in; the account lists 117 posts, so most were not read. Two posts, including the one announcing his candidacy, are cut short by X, and the rest of their text was not read. A post on that account dated August 24 says he was working that night on the campaign of the account @specurran. voche.me did not confirm which campaign that is, so the page does not describe it. A LinkedIn profile under his name returned HTTP 999 to direct requests and could not be read. An Instagram account named trevorwithers showed only a sign-in page, and no page read ties it to this candidacy. A North Shore News article titled "Who is running for MLA on the North Shore?" returned HTTP 403, and the Internet Archive was offline, so it was not read. The party's candidate page labels him "Interim Conservative Party Leader". The party's own team page names Lorne Doerkson as leader and lists Withers only as the North Vancouver-Lonsdale candidate, so voche.me does not repeat that label. His Queen's University degree, his job at Aritzia, his work at Tap & Barrel and his hockey roles are stated by the party; voche.me has not checked them with the university, the employers or the club. Queen's University's athletics site lists a Trevor Withers from North Vancouver as a goalie on its men's hockey team. No page read on this date says that person is this candidate, so the roster entry is left out of the profile. The party's platform page says the platform is coming soon and does not name him, and no party news release naming him was found. All-candidates meetings in North Vancouver-Lonsdale, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. Nominations close October 3, 2026, so other candidates may still be added. The questionnaire has not been sent.
