CentreBC's page about Paul Brar says he came to Canada in 1983 and began his working life as a shingle sawyer in Mission, BC. It says he built a career in real estate over the four decades that followed and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a diploma in Urban Land Economics in 1999. It says he attended DAV College in Jalandhar and Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana before coming to Canada, grew up on a farm, and has volunteered on municipal, provincial and federal campaigns at the grassroots level.
The Indo-Canadian Voice reported on 2026-09-24 that CentreBC leader Elenore Sturko announced him as the party's candidate that day. The article says he has lived in Surrey for more than 30 years and has been a licensed realtor since 1988, and it repeats the party's description of his background. The Surrey Now-Leader repeated the realtor and Surrey details on 2026-09-28. These are the party's statements as the outlets carried them. voche.me has not checked them with UBC, the colleges or the body that licenses real estate agents in BC.
The party page gives no reason for running and names no measure on any subject. CentreBC's policy page says its Policy Committee is still developing its first policy pillars, so no party platform was available on 2026-10-03. voche.me has not contacted the campaign.

Reports that CentreBC leader Elenore Sturko announced him as the party's candidate. It says he has lived in Surrey for more than 30 years and has been a licensed realtor since 1988, quotes Sturko welcoming him, and repeats the party's account of his background. It quotes no words of his own.
A guide to the Surrey races. Its Surrey-Fleetwood entry names the CentreBC candidate as Paul Brar, a realtor since 1988 and a Surrey resident for more than 30 years, and lists the other candidates for the district. It quotes no words of his own.
Sources checked October 3, 2026. Official records establish decisions; campaign material establishes stated positions; reporting adds investigation and context. None alone establishes every claim.
voche.me found no campaign website of his own, no social media account tied to this candidacy, and no interview or statement from him as a candidate on 2026-10-03. The party page gives no reason for running and names no measure, so his views on housing, health care, the cost of living, public safety, the economy, education, climate, Indigenous reconciliation, transportation and the provincial budget are unknown. voche.me found no 2026 CentreBC election platform on 2026-10-03: the party's policy page says its Policy Committee is still developing its first policy pillars. The party's statements about him are unchecked: his arrival in Canada in 1983, his work as a shingle sawyer, his real estate career, his realtor licence since 1988 (reported by the Indo-Canadian Voice and repeated by the Surrey Now-Leader), his UBC diploma of 1999, his earlier colleges, and his volunteer work. The WebSearch tool had no searches left in this session, so the name search used Google News, the search pages of the Indo-Canadian Voice and the Surrey Now-Leader, and the BC Ballot candidate page. DuckDuckGo and Bing returned no results voche.me could read, and a Facebook search page answered HTTP 404. The domain paulbrar.ca redirects to a page that holds no campaign content, and no page ties it to this candidacy, so it is not used. Results for other people named Brar, including a 2018 radio news item and an earlier Conservative nomination story in the Indo-Canadian Voice, are tied to this candidacy by no page, so they are left out. All-candidates meetings in Surrey-Fleetwood, campaign finances and endorsements were not found on this date. The questionnaire has not been sent.
