Mike Little was re-elected mayor of the District of North Vancouver on October 17, 2026. The District's official count gives him 10,431 votes, first of the five candidates for mayor, ahead of Stephan Nieweler with 6,145. The Chief Election Officer declared the result on October 19, 2026.
The North Shore News reported that he was first elected mayor in 2018 and re-elected in 2022, and Daily Hive reported that he was a District councillor from 2005 to 2014. In his answers to the North Shore News he described himself as a two-term mayor and a three-term councillor, elected in 2005, 2008 and 2011, who worked for 19 years in transportation management and logistics, most recently at the Canfor International Distribution Center. That is his own account.
In the same answers he wrote that, as a member of the TransLink Mayors' Council and the TransLink Board and co-chair of TransLink's Joint Finance Committee, he would keep pressing for bus rapid transit from the North Shore to Metrotown and for two SkyTrain lines, and that he would keep working with the Province to replace the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge. On business, he wrote that the District's business taxes must stay in the lower half of the region even if some of the tax burden moves out of the business class.
On election night, the North Shore News reported, he said his first task in the new term would be to press Metro Vancouver for a fairer share of the cost of the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant for District residents. He also said he had campaigned by door knocking and holding question and answer sessions, and that he takes the accessibility of the office seriously.
In an April 2025 interview with CJSF radio, before that year's federal election, he named housing and transit as the two main issues for the North Shore.
