The City of Ottawa’s open data file shows Sandra Moore’s nomination for trustee of the Ottawa Catholic School Board in Zone 2 dated May 5, 2026, with no withdrawal, and it lists no other nomination in the zone. CTV News Ottawa reported on August 22, 2026 that she is one of five Ottawa Catholic School Board candidates acclaimed after being the only person to register, and its guide of September 9, 2026 marks her as acclaimed. The City’s page for this board could not be read, so voche.me cannot say what the City itself has declared.
The board’s trustee page lists her as Board Trustee for Zone 2, which covers Ward 4 Kanata North, Ward 5 West-Carleton-March and Ward 23 Kanata South. CBC News listed her as the trustee-elect for Zone 2 on October 23, 2018, and said those results were unofficial at the time. The board’s releases of November 15, 2022, November 14, 2023 and November 12, 2024 list her as the Zone 2 trustee. The City’s official results for the October 24, 2022 election give her 4,932 of the 6,327 votes cast in the Zone 2 race, which is 78.0 percent, against one other candidate, Alex Sithole, who had 1,395.
A board release of October 26, 2020 calls her the board’s Vice-Chair and Zone 2 trustee. It quotes her thanking the province for funding a new elementary school and saying that the school will allow the board to address population growth in the Fernbank area of the city. These are her words as the board printed them.
The public part of her X profile says she is a trustee with the Ottawa Catholic School Board, a past chair of the school council of Holy Trinity Catholic High School and a former teacher. These are her own statements, and voche.me has not checked them.
CTV News Ottawa reported on May 7, 2026 that the board’s chair, Mark D. Mullan, wrote on behalf of all 10 trustees to Education Minister Paul Calandra on May 4, 2026 to raise serious concerns about Bill 101, the Putting Student Achievement First Act. The letter is the board’s position as the chair put it, and voche.me did not find how each trustee voted on any motion. The sources read hold no complaint or allegation about her.
