Musset Pierre-Jérôme is on the City of Ottawa’s list of nominated candidates for trustee of the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario (CEPEO, the French public school board) in Zone 7, which covers City Wards 1 and 2, with a nomination filed on July 7, 2026. The other candidate in the zone is Soukaina Boutiyeb. His campaign website says he is a retired federal public servant and a long-time Orléans resident, and lists five priorities, among them school and family partnerships and support for newly arrived students. About Musset Pierre-Jérôme

The City of Ottawa’s open data file of nominated candidates (workbook of August 29, 2026), sheet CEPEO, shows Musset Pierre-Jérôme in Zone 7 with a nomination filed on July 7, 2026 and no withdrawal. The other nomination in the zone is Soukaina Boutiyeb, filed on June 16, 2026. CTV News Ottawa’s guide to the school board races lists Zone 7 as Wards 1 and 2 and links his name to his campaign website. The board’s election page names the area of its sector 7 for 2026 as Orléans-Est-Cumberland and Orléans-Ouest-Innes. The board’s Gouvernance page lists Philippe Landry as trustee for sector 7 in the 2022 to 2026 sectors, which were then Orléans-Ouest-Innes and Beacon Hill-Cyrville. The City’s list shows no nomination from him.

His campaign website, in French with English and other language versions, says that he is a long-time Orléans resident, rooted in the Franco-Ontarian community, and a retired federal public servant with experience in human resources, financial management, leadership and official languages. It says he holds a master’s degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Ottawa. It says he sits on the boards of MIFO, the Société franco-ontarienne du patrimoine et de l’histoire d’Orléans (SFOPHO), the CRCOC and the City of Ottawa’s French language services advisory committee, and that he is an active member of the Club Richelieu and the Knights of Columbus. The site gives his reason for running: to be a strong voice for the parents and families of the CEPEO, to push for permanent, modern schools and extra classrooms in a growing Orléans in place of temporary portable classrooms, to promote safe and inclusive schools and school and family partnerships, and to defend the needs of newly arrived students. These are the campaign’s statements about him.

MIFO’s board page lists him as secretary of its board. It says that he began his career in Ottawa as a property manager in the private sector and at the Coopérative d’habitation Desloges, then worked for nearly 25 years in the federal government in human resources, budget administration and team management, and worked in official languages. It says he sits on the City of Ottawa’s French language services advisory committee, sits or has sat on SFOPHO, the CRCOC and the CÉSOC, belongs to the Club Richelieu d’Orléans and the Légion d’Orléans, holds a master’s degree in economics and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, and has lived in the National Capital Region for more than 45 years. The CRCOC’s board page, in English, lists him as a board member and says he sits on the boards of SFOPHO, MIFO and the Knights of Columbus of his parish, is an active member of the Orléans Legion and has lived in Orléans for the past 20 years. Both pages are the organizations’ own statements, and neither gives a start date for his seat. voche.me did not check the degrees with the university.

ONFR reported on May 15, 2026 that the City of Ottawa’s French language services advisory committee held the last meeting of its 2022 to 2026 term on Thursday evening, May 14, 2026. The article says Musset Pierre-Jérôme used the occasion to point to Canada’s bid to host the 2028 summit of the Francophonie in Ottawa, and that he hopes the future committee can play an active part in that matter, beyond the simple management of local services. The article gives no title for him.

VoteMate lists him with no profile and no promises. The City’s list gives no website or social media account that voche.me could read, and voche.me found no complaint or allegation about him in the sources read.

What voche.me has checked

Evidence reviewed on October 7, 2026: the City’s open data file of nominations, the French page of his campaign website (a page built by script, so the text was read from its public script file), the board pages of MIFO and the CRCOC, the ONFR article of May 15, 2026, the board’s Gouvernance and election pages, and the VoteMate listing, which holds no profile text. CTV News Ottawa’s guide to school board candidates, published September 9, 2026 and updated October 5, 2026, was also read; it lists him by name under the CEPEO and links his campaign website.

Gaps. The City’s page for the CEPEO could not be read, so the accounts that he gave the City are unknown. His campaign website links a Facebook profile, which needs a login and was not read. His roles in organizations come from the campaign, from MIFO and the CRCOC, and from one line in ONFR, and voche.me did not look at those organizations’ records of their meetings. The degrees were not checked with the university. The general web search tool refused because the session’s search allowance was used up, so statements that only a general search would find may exist. He holds no public office on the records read, so no minutes search applies. The voche.me questionnaire has not been sent.

Experience & community

Listed on the CRCOC’s board page, read October 7, 2026

Board member, Centre de ressources communautaires d’Orléans-Cumberland (CRCOC)

The CRCOC’s own board page lists him among its directors. The page gives no start date.

CRCOC · Board of directors
Nearly 25 years, as stated on MIFO’s board page

Federal public servant, in human resources, budget administration, team management and official languages

MIFO’s page and his campaign website both say this. His campaign website says he is now retired. voche.me did not check it with the employer.
