The City of Ottawa’s list of certified candidates for the CECCE, last updated September 9, 2026, shows Laurentine Mouchingam Mefire Nguwuo’ Petuenju’ in Zone 4, which covers City Wards 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 23, with a nomination filed on August 13, 2026. The City’s open data file shows no withdrawal. The other nomination in the zone is by Jolène Savoie-Day, filed on May 4, 2026. The board’s Table politique page lists Savoie-Day as the trustee for sector 4. The City list gives this candidate a website and a LinkedIn page. The LinkedIn page needs a login and was not read.
Her campaign website says she is a candidate for school trustee in Zone 4 and that her campaign starts from one principle: a school becomes stronger when families are informed, heard and able to take part in decisions. It lists six commitments, which are parent involvement, equity and inclusion, student success and well-being, dialogue between school and family, representation of the zone’s communities on the board, and decisions that are transparent and focused on students. These are the campaign’s statements, and voche.me has not checked them. The website calls her Dre, which is the French short form of Doctor. voche.me did not find a source for a degree, so it does not state one.
The website points to three videos and to a page of “achievements” on the site of NP Consortium Consulting Inc., a company that offers services on equity, diversity and inclusion. That page lists a workshop of February 4, 2025 and a meeting titled “Le Parent-influent”. The page does not say what her role in the company is, so voche.me does not state one. PPE Ontario, an organization for parents in education, ran an article on her in its January 2022 newsletter. In it she said she was then president of the school council of Collège catholique Franco-Ouest and a member of the school council of École élémentaire catholique Saint-Rémi, and that she had sat on diversity and inclusion committees. The article describes her as an adviser on equality, equity, diversity and inclusion and says she has children in CECCE schools. PPE Ontario’s description of a workshop it posted on February 4, 2025 says she led it and calls her a manager of equality, equity, diversity and inclusion at the Department of National Defence. Those are PPE Ontario’s words, and voche.me did not check them with the employer.
A video on the website titled “Parlons d’équité et d’inclusion : session d’information” is on the CECCE’s own YouTube channel, posted on September 25, 2024. Its description names the board’s equity and inclusive education team and does not name her, so voche.me cannot say what part she had in it. She holds no public office on the record voche.me read, and the sources read hold no complaint or allegation about her.
