## Land, Housing and Governance: what the 2026 Full Election Platform says

This chapter collects TrueBlue Vancouver's positions on land, housing and government in its reconciliation section. The party would apply the same transparent development and housing rules to every project regardless of race, ancestry or identity. The same text appears in its housing section on page 13, under the heading Indigenous-Led Housing. The party presents this as a rule of equal treatment.

On land title and governance, TrueBlue would protect private property and democratic local government. It opposes voluntary city transfers of land, assets or control that are based on ancestry or historical claims. Under the heading "Additional Policy", the party rejects what it calls race-based governance and reconciliation policies that divide residents by ancestry, and says it would defend equal citizenship, property rights and democratic government.

Council controls city-owned land and assets, city zoning and the permit process, so it could decide these points for the city itself. Agreements between First Nations and the federal or provincial governments are made by those governments. The party's policy concerns voluntary transfers by the city, so it covers land and assets the city owns and could choose to give.
