Toronto's mayoral ballot lists two candidates named Chow in positions 8 and 9. Braeden Chow appears directly above [Olivia Chow](/on/toronto-2026/candidates/olivia-chow) because candidates are printed in alphabetical order. Olivia Chow reminded supporters on social media during advance voting that there are two Chows on the ballot and that she is number 9, NOW Toronto reported.

At least one voter reported on Reddit that they marked Braeden Chow's name by mistake the first time and requested a replacement ballot, according to NOW Toronto.

## Who is Braeden Chow

[Braeden Chow](/on/toronto-2026/candidates/braeden-chow) registered as a mayoral candidate on May 21, 2026. He is listed on the City of Toronto's certified candidate list as of the date the list was read for this site. The Local describes him as a musician who performs under the name nora and says information about his platform was not available online when it published.

## What to do if you mark the wrong name

The City of Toronto says that a voter who makes a mistake or changes their mind can take the ballot to the election official, who will cancel the ballot and issue another one.

Chris Alexander, who withdrew from the race on October 6, 2026, also remains on the ballot, according to NOW Toronto, which reported that 53 names appear on the ballots.

## The mayoral ballot as a whole

The mayoral race includes candidates listed alphabetically. Braeden Chow is at position 8 and Olivia Chow at position 9, according to NOW Toronto. Olivia Chow posted a reference to her ballot number, 9, on social media to help voters identify the correct name.
