Advance voting in the 2026 Toronto municipal election opens on Tuesday, October 6 and runs through Sunday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, the City of Toronto confirmed on its elections page.

The City offers 50 advance voting locations across Toronto: two in each of the city's 25 wards. Voters can cast a ballot for mayor, city councillor, and school board trustee at either location in their ward.

Voters can find the advance voting places in their ward using the City's MyVote tool at myvote.toronto.ca. The same tool lets voters check whether they are on the voters' list, add themselves to it, or update their address.

## Six days to vote before election day

Advance voting runs on six consecutive days:

- Tuesday, October 6
- Wednesday, October 7
- Thursday, October 8
- Friday, October 9
- Saturday, October 10
- Sunday, October 11

All locations are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on each day. Election day is Monday, October 26.

## Kids Vote Weekend

On Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, children under 18 can cast a symbolic vote for Toronto's Tree of the Year at any advance voting location, as part of the City's Kids Vote Weekend. The program is intended to introduce younger residents to the voting process. Adults vote normally at the same locations on those days.

## What voters are deciding

Toronto voters choose a mayor, one councillor for their ward, and school board trustees. There are 25 ward races and four school board areas: the Toronto District School Board, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire Viamonde and Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir. You can see all the candidates running in your area at [/on/toronto-2026/candidates](/on/toronto-2026/candidates).

Voters who have not yet confirmed their address on the voters' list can do so at myvote.toronto.ca before they go to vote, or in person during advance voting or on election day, according to the City.
