Olivia Chow and Brad Bradford each held final campaign events on Sunday, October 25, one day before Toronto's municipal election, CP24 reported.

Chow held her event at Polson Street. Bradford wrapped up a 25-ward tour at a final stop in Toronto-St. Paul's, where MPP Stephanie Smyth appeared alongside him and his family, CP24 said.

Both candidates addressed what they described as a close race.

"The race is neck and neck. Your vote will decide it. If you believe we are a city of people who take care of each other, who stand up for each other, then tomorrow, vote for the city we believe in," Chow said, according to CP24.

Bradford told his supporters: "The message I'm hearing from people is that we need change, positive change, in this city. Change that makes us feel safer, change that makes life more affordable," CP24 reported.

Chow's campaign has focused on expanding affordable housing, a weekly cap on transit fares, free school lunches and an enforcement program for landlords. Bradford's has focused on a first-year property tax freeze, a 25% cut to water bills, transit improvements and hiring 1,000 additional police officers.

Polls published in the days before the vote pointed in opposite directions. Pollara Strategic Insights surveyed 1,094 Toronto residents between October 16 and 21 and found Chow at 55% and Bradford at 44% among decided voters, with a margin of error of 3.0 percentage points. That poll was commissioned by CUPE Local 416. A Liaison Strategies survey of 1,000 voters from October 18 to 19 found Bradford at 49% and Chow at 47%, within its stated margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
