CTV News Toronto and CP24 will host a free, commercial-free debate between [Olivia Chow](/on/toronto-2026/candidates/olivia-chow) and [Brad Bradford](/on/toronto-2026/candidates/brad-bradford) on Thursday, October 22 at 7 p.m., four days before Toronto votes on October 26. The debate is called "Toronto Decides: The Municipal Debate."

## When and where to watch

CTV News reports the debate will air live on CP24 and stream for free at CP24.com and CTVNewsToronto.ca. Viewers can also watch on the CP24 and CTV News apps. The Crave streaming service will carry the broadcast as well.

The debate is commercial-free.

## Who is moderating

CTV News anchor Michelle Dube will moderate. Newstalk 1010 host John Moore will bring questions submitted by CP24 viewers.

## What to expect

CTV News reports the debate will cover housing and affordability, transit, public safety, and city finances. Those are the topics that have driven the campaign since September. Viewers can submit questions to CP24 for possible use during the broadcast.

The most recent Nanos Research poll conducted for CP24 and CTV News showed 49.8 per cent of decided voters supporting Chow compared to 46.6 per cent for Bradford. A further 16 per cent of respondents said they remain undecided, according to CTV News. That group of undecided voters is large enough to decide the election either way.

Nanos Research founder Nik Nanos told CTV News the debate "could be the defining moment of the whole campaign." Former Toronto mayor John Tory, now a CTV News municipal affairs expert, said the debate could be consequential for both candidates.

## What it means for voters

If you plan to vote on October 26 and want to hear from both candidates before you do, the debate starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, on CP24 or streamed free at CP24.com. Voting day runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at locations across the city; the City of Toronto's website has a voter information tool to find your voting place.
