A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 15, 2026 and gives the website robertshusterman.com. That website is the page of a sales representative with Royal LePage Terrequity Realty, with the line “I am running for Mayor of Toronto!!” on its home page. It holds real estate information and no campaign platform. Royal LePage’s own agent directory lists a Robert Shusterman as a sales representative at Royal LePage Terrequity Realty. The Local describes him as a realtor and security guard. voche.me did not find a source that confirms the security work. The City’s declaration of results for the 2023 mayoral by-election lists Robert Shusterman with 114 votes, in 78th place of 102 candidates. The VoteMate guide to that by-election carries a biography that it says was submitted by the candidate or his team. In it he says he has worked as a real estate sales representative for over 30 years, holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, studied radio broadcasting, and has coached ice hockey, including a team of Deaf players. These are his own statements from 2023, and voche.me did not check them against another source. [The Local · Toronto Mayoral Candidates 2026 ](https://thelocal.to/toronto-mayoral-candidates-2026/) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, the home page of the website he gave the City, Royal LePage’s agent page, the VoteMate 2023 candidate page, The Local’s candidate page and the City’s declaration of results for the 2023 mayoral by-election. His priorities come from The Local, because his website has no platform. Gaps. His website is a real estate agent page, and its Blog and Contact pages were not opened for campaign statements. The podcast The Local mentions was not found. His security work was not confirmed. The 2023 biography is his own and was not checked against another source. No social media account was named on the pages opened. No City or school board role is on his profile. The questionnaire has not been sent.
