A certified candidate is one whose nomination the City Clerk has accepted. The list shows the nomination date as May 5, 2026 and a campaign website, ravicharavi.ca. Ward 11 covers City wards 21 and 23, Scarborough Centre and Scarborough North. The campaign website says Ravinthiran grew up in Scarborough and went through public schools there: Knob Hill Public School, Charles Gordon Sr. Public School with the Extended French program and Victoria Park Collegiate Institute with the International Baccalaureate program. It lists a Bachelor of Science in Science and Business from the University of Waterloo, graduated with distinction. It says Ravinthiran has worked with young people across Toronto through tutoring, mentorship, financial literacy, recreation and arts programs. The site lists six community awards between 2018 and 2025, including a 30 Under 30 Award from the Tamil Canadian Centre for Civic Action in 2025 and a Rising Star Award from the Scarborough Walk of Fame in 2018. Those are the campaign’s own statements and voche.me has not checked them with the bodies named. On the Know Your Vote T.O. page the candidate answered all four questions in their own words. The answers say the TDSB should reflect what students, families and educators experience, describe a background in finance and technology, and say the candidate would push for clear ways to report bullying, transparent staffing decisions and easier access to programs across the board. The Know Your Vote T.O. team checks that answers meet its content standards and does not check that they are true. [Ravicha Ravinthiran campaign website · Platform ](https://ravicharavi.ca/platform) Research status ## What voche.me has checked Evidence reviewed on October 4, 2026: the City of Toronto’s list of certified candidates, three pages of the campaign website (Home, About and Platform), the Know Your Vote T.O. page, the TDSB’s trustee wards page, the City Clerk’s 2022 declaration of results, the TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list and The Local’s article of August 24, 2026 on trustee candidates. Schooling, awards, work with young people and priorities come from the campaign website and are written as its own account. TDSB wards changed for 2026. Ward 11 covers City wards 21 and 23, which the City’s list names Scarborough Centre and Scarborough North. The TDSB’s 2018 to 2022 trustee list names the old Ward 17 as Scarborough Centre and the old Ward 21 as Scarborough North, and the City Clerk’s 2022 results show Neethan Shan elected in the old Ward 17 and Yalini Rajakulasingam elected in the old Ward 21. The old Ward 11 was Don Valley West, a different area from the new Ward 11 in Scarborough. The TDSB’s trustee wards page says that during provincial supervision the powers of trustees rest with the provincially appointed Supervisor, that trustees have no official duties with the board at this time, and that this also applies to trustees elected in October 2026. voche.me found no TDSB page that names a current trustee for the Scarborough Centre or Scarborough North area, so it names none. The City Clerk’s 2022 results for the TDSB list no entry under this candidate’s name. Gaps. The Instagram page showed a profile header and the LinkedIn page showed a sign-in prompt, so nothing from social accounts is used. No public role is on record, so no minutes were searched. The questionnaire has not been sent.
